Do I need a permit to trench on my own property in Mississauga?
For most utility, drainage, and shallow gas trenches on private land you don’t need a building permit, but the work itself almost always does — the gas fitter pulls a TSSA permit, the electrician pulls an ESA notification, and any foundation-depth trench against the house ties to a building permit.
